My little Gopher

Kendra is so smart, she is talking in full sentences and can carry on a conversation. She asked to go to grandma's house the other day and when I said that grandma does not have a house yet, she told grandma, "I will buy you one." She also knows her name (Kenna or Kennaroo Richards) and she knows mom's name. She has been obsessed with going to the Mayan and seeing the divers (and often asks if we can take our dog Belly, or her cousin Brek to the Mayan). The other day, we were waiting at the Mayan and she knew exactly when it was our turn to go inside because they called mom's name.

We have had so much fun now that it is getting warmer (with the exception of this week). Kendra loves playing with other kids and we went to the park several days last week. Kendra also loves digging in the yard or in her sandbox and she can do that for hours.

Fall/Halloween

Kendra is learning and growing every day. She is starting to talk in full sentences and loves to command our animals to do things. She loves to look at books (usually the same books over and over) and she tries to explain the pictures. She also loves Elmo and Curious George and sings the Elmo's World song (usually when it is time to settle down and go to sleep).
We had so much fun doing Halloween activities. We went to the pumpkin patch, 2 Halloween parties, the petting zoo, and she went trick or treating (twice). She wanted to be the kitty every time. She really got into going to doors for candy, but was too shy to meow (like we practiced) or say thank you (which she is usually really good at). She didn't want mom to put the candy in her bag and usually went to the doors with a sucker in one hand. She is so cute.

Fun in the sun

We have had a really fun summer and it is kinda hard to believe it has passed by so quickly (like the last 22months). Kendra has loved seeing horsies, playing outside, and going swimming. She is going to be sad when she can't do that anymore. She got herself a swim diaper the other day and decided she was going swimming. When I got the pool outside, she tried to use cups of water from the fridge to fill it. She is so goofy and smart.
She is starting to say full phrases like "I want up" and "Lucky eat water." She can also count to 4 and sign "I love you" (sort of). She is obsessed with Elmo's World and sings the song all the time.

Kendra, the animal lover

I guess I will start this so everyone can hear/see all the cute things Kendra is doing. She has so much personality. Kendra loves our pets. A few weeks ago, she started tring to pick the cat up. This week we have been working on tricks with the dog and Kendra has started to give the dog her food. Kendra also learned her first sign. She is starting to sign milk when she wants a drink. So smart.
